Infrastructure for electric mobilityElectric outlets are everywhere, only not where to recharge an electric vehicle. Recharge at home, at the work place, in the shopping center enables electric mobility. At the beginning hat my long time test vehicle E-Max S 60 km range. Starting with 8000km, the range decrased much, the lead batteries had been at the end. At last at 11200km, the range had been only 15km. But electric outlets at the weekly market in the center, at the Salzburg AG and the NET - new energy technic made the usage of the electric scooter possible even with impoverished batteries.
Israel makes 500.000 sockets for electric vehicles. Park - charge - go on driving. A typical electric scooter has a load speed of 20km/h. A medium sized electric car with 15 kWh/100km and a 3 kW charger suitable for 230V 16A outlet has also 20 km/h load speed. This means at shopping, half hour in the shop, 10km range are recharged
The time comes where 1 kWh liquid fuel is more expensiv than 1 kWh electric power. Where somebody calculates, 15 minutes at the fast charger or expensiv liquid fuel. A vehicle where all possibilities are implemented is the BYD F3 DM: batteries for 100km electric only, 50 kW gasoline engine, 230V charger, connection for 60 kW fast charger. This is the future, politics is respnsible to create the necessary infrastructure as fast as possible. |
