Despite of all warnings the speed of the Titanic is not reduced. Thereby the Titanic is amidst the icefield already and the officers know about it.

The Titanic is going on with 22 knots amidst the icefield, and the night is absolutely dark. In the first class some are predicting that the arrival in New York will be one day earlier than scheduled.
